Reconstruction of Occupation

Director Jan Šikl has been collecting amateur films from different families for over thirty years. Recently, he found 3.5 hours of professionally filmed material that captures the invasion of Czechoslovakia by the Warsaw Pact forces on August 21, 1968. The footage has never been seen since. Jan Šikl starts identifying those who are captured in the videos and where they take place. The memories of specific events come back to life. The film encapsulates the picture of a historical event and its relation to the present.
