Cinema ClubThe film maps the afterlife of the rediscovered writer and pioneer of literary decadence, Irma Geisslová (1855–1914). It does so not through well-known facts, but through the intimate experiences of five characters with Geisslová’s work. The film thus becomes a portrait of the encounter of voices, words, and gestures—often quite banal—that inhabit the seemingly empty space left by the deceased author with a living human presence.
