Adam Tarana – In the Middle of Something

The selection of unpublished private work (2017–2024) by photographer Adam Tarana invites us to reflect on what it means to be in the middle of something (and at the same time, nothing). This collection refers to personal space—whether it be physical space, an emotional state, or an artistic process. The idea is highlighted by the deliberate, almost obvious central composition of the individual photographs. It also directly and indirectly points to various activities captured in the midst of something and to the essence of the fleeting moment itself. The exhibited photographs offer intimate moments and everyday scenes. In the center of each shot, you’ll find a story of its own. The entire series is captured on films of various formats and types.
