Ové Pictures – Waves
Wednesday 10. 12.
ArtaThe Waves exhibition presents an extensive and visually evocative collection of works by the artistic duo Ové Pictures—Veronika Obertová and Michaela Čopíková, who have long been active on the boundaries of illustration, animation, object art, and authorial narrative. Their work combines a strong visual signature with subtle personal stories that have the power to engage a wide audience through a layered, symbolic language. Visitors will encounter dioramas, objects, drawings, sketches, and prints that offer an intimate glimpse into the artists’ inner world. The works chart their long-term visual exploration of themes such as everyday life, the female body, nature, and seemingly ordinary objects and situations imbued with mythic resonance. The artists create a visual space where the personal intertwines with the collective, and where even serious topics are lightened with gentle irony. Yet the Waves exhibition is not only a space for contemplation but also for the active participation of the audience. The curator of the exhibition is Mária Beňačková Rišková. The exhibition can be found in the Gallery on the Third Floor and is open on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
