FILMEU: Internationalization and Innovation of Film Education in EU

Slovakia, together with seven European countries (Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, Ireland, Lithuania, and Portugal), has responded to the European Commission’s call and, through VŠMU, is participating in the FILMEU project, whose aim is to establish a European Film School. Comprehensive teaching, scientific and artistic activity, and, not least, connections with the business sector within film education create not only new opportunities but also significant challenges. What opportunities can the European Union offer Slovakia? This question will be discussed with representatives of FILMEU from VŠMU, together with Natalie Šťastná and Jan Pátek from the Office of the European Parliament in Slovakia.
