A story about everyday life in a new country and the difficulties associated with separation and uncertainty about the future. Is it possible to build the future without the present? Is it possible to live in the present without leaving the past? Is it better to live in your own house under bullets or in someone else’s house in safety? The film raises important and relevant themes related to separation, refugees, war and adaptation to new conditions. The film also emphasizes the importance of family and close relationships during difficult times when people are under enormous stress and anxiety, and teaches that despite differences in culture, language and customs, people are ultimately all striving for the same thing—security, stability and family.
