Woman of the New Age

The documentary film, Woman of the New Age, is a love story, a detective story, a ritual, and an expedition to get to know the pioneer of democracy in Slovakia and the heroine of the Slovak National Uprising, Alžbeta Gwerková-Göllnerová, who came to Banská Štiavnica in 1938 in search of family happiness. Together with the director of the film, we get to know her story in authentic places, through the bodies of dancers and actors, through the memories of those who remember her, through analyses of female scientists, and through newly discovered documents and photographs.
