The psychological drama is the story of a husband and wife trying to cope with the stresses of old age. This time, Noé has abandoned his characteristic hypnotic visuals. However, he has creatively played with the image by dividing it into two halves, which allow us to follow the plot simultaneously from the point of view of both main characters. This formal approach has greatly helped to create another extraordinary work by an auteur whose films Climax, Love and Enter the Void are among the festival’s most sought-after provocations in both form and content.
