The Taste of Things

A pot of delicious broth is bubbling away, a sharp knife slices through freshly picked herbs, and a freshly caught fish is resting in white wine. The Taste of Things is a feast for the eyes and a tribute to French gastronomy. The year is 1885. In a spacious house in the Loire Valley, another day begins, and the cook Eugénie (Juliette Binoche) has been bustling around the kitchen since early morning. The result of her unique talent and love for cooking is incredibly tasty dishes. For 20 years, she has worked for the famous gourmet Dodin (Benoît Magimel). Together, they seek out and create new, innovative recipes, discover flavors, and share a deep passion for gastronomy. Over the years, a strong bond has formed between them, one that is infused with genuine love.
