The adventurous, magical realism-influenced original work invites you to the environment of the black market with archaeological artifacts. Arthur, played by Josh O’Connor, nicknamed the Englishman, is a member of the Italian tombaroli gang of grave robbers. Together with others, he asks the underworld to release its valuable gifts. In the ancient corridors, Arthur frantically searches not only for his daily bread but also for his long-lost love, Beniamina. While the world around him changes and modernizes, he resists progress. He has stopped in the mythic timelessness, where he wages an unequal battle with his chimeras. The relaxed formal style offers a very lively and spontaneous way of unforgettable film storytelling.
