Natasha runs the canteen at a secret Soviet research institute. Everyone drops in here: the institute’s employees, scientists and visiting foreign guests. By day she serves food, by night she attends wild parties that know neither class distinction nor cadre. Natasha is the first film part of a fascinating multi-genre project that brought together hundreds of volunteers, scientists and artists between 2009 and 2011 to simulate life in the Soviet Union from the late 1930s to the late 1960s.
