The sections Paths of Glory and Artistic Director’s Selection will comprise extraordinary films

The international film festival Cinematik in Piešťany will open its 17th edition in a few weeks. In the sections Walks of Fame and Artistic Director’s Selection, we will see several exclusive Slovak premieres this year, many of which have already won prestigious awards from festivals in Cannes, Venice and Berlin.
The Paths of Glory section in the Cinematik programme is traditionally the place where the most famous films from around the world meet. Most of them have already achieved success at renowned world festivals. Visitors to Cinematik can often see such titles several months before they reach regular Slovak cinema distribution. Some of these titles never even reach our cinemas.
