Since its very beginning Cinematik has been paying attention to emerging film-makers. First and second films by young directors are featured in the Eye on Films section including Latvian horror The Man in the Orange Jacket; The Narrow Frame of Midnight by a Moroccan director Taly Hadid; or British Hide and Seek by Joanna Coates, winner of Michael Powell Award for Best British Feature at Edinburgh film festival 2014.
Eye on Films is an international platform of film distribution companies and film festivals initiated by the French company Wide Management. Its aim is to present first and second feature films by directors from Europe and overseas at international forums. Currently, the network includes more than 110 international partners in more than 40 countries.
