The Ornithologist

This film freely inspired by the life of Saint Anthony of Padua connects mysticism and homoerotics. It follows the spiritual transformation of Fernando—an ornithologist who observes rare bird species in the remote areas of Portugal—when he is swept away by the rapids on his kayak. Since then, Fernando wanders through a dark forest, where strange things happen. However, all the obstacles he encounters challenge him to become a different, enlightened man—Anton.
