Recently divorced Sheila tries to get her life back on track. She has placed a Lonely Hearts ad in the local newspapers. During a January sale at Dentley & Soper’s department store, at Ms. Luckmore’s recommendation, she purchases an artery-red dress with a mysterious inscription in Latin. Sheila has no idea that the dress has a deadly curse woven into its very fabric.
