Adrián Krišák – Balamuta

Thursday 12. 09.

Arta

Balamuta is a visual and functional project by Adrian Krišák and Nikoleta Gajarová. He works with solid wood, while she illustrates and designs. Adrian Krišák, also a member of the musical group 52 Hertz Whale, operates at the intersection of design and craftsmanship. His passion for wood and Japanese tools has led him to develop his own creative process. All pieces are created in response to the increasingly inaccessible housing market, where young people, often moving from place to place, seek to take timeless, smaller objects with them. These objects are characterized not only by minimalism but also by traditional woodworking techniques. The collection focuses on simplicity, clean lines, and the combination of carpentry with handwoven Danish paper cord. The exhibition opening will take place on Thursday, September 12th, at 6:30 PM at the Galéria na treťom, and will be accessible on Friday and Saturday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
