The Painter and the Thief

Drug addict Karl-Bertil claims that he doesn’t remember why he stole the exhibited works of painter Barbora Kysilková or what he did with them. However, he regrets committing the crime and agrees with the author’s suggestion that he will model for her for her next portrait. The artistic collaboration brings the two people closer together. They let each other take a glimpse into the dark corners of their past. The film shows events alternately from a dual perspective, returning to some to retell them through the perspective of the other person.
