An Unusual Summer
Years ago, Kamal Aljafari’s father installed a security camera in front of his house to find out who kept damaging his car. The author uses this material to talk about his street, his neighbours, the life in a Palestinian neighbourhood, sometimes referred to as a ghetto. Aljafari shows that it is a living place full of interesting people who are not invisible. His film is an act against forgetting.
