Introducing the Jury of the Cinematik Competition of Slovak Feature Documentary Films.doc

Cinematik.doc is a competition of Slovak feature-length documentary films that premiered in the period of one year prior to the festival. The Cinematik.doc Literary Fund Prize, endowed with a financial premium of 1,000 €, is awarded by the Cinematik Festival together with the Literary Fund for the best director of a Slovak documentary film, on the proposal of the international jury.

ESTER GEISLEROVÁ
(Czech Republic)
She is the youngest of the trio of artistically gifted Geisler sisters. She studied design at art school, but throughout her career she has been modelling and nowadays mainly acting in films and TV series. She has acted in films since she was a child, and in 2002 she became the winner of the Czech Elite Model Look. Her most notable film roles include the lead role of Agnes in Rat F. A. Brabec or Dorli in Milan Cieslar’s film Blood of the Disappeared. She is also currently working on a lecture and podcast project called Therapy by Sharing, which focuses on relationships and communication.

DANIELA HANUSOVÁ
(Slovakia)
She is a curator and project manager of DAFilms.com, an international VOD platform focused on documentary and experimental film. In addition, she is the executive director of the Prague festival of augmented reality and immersive art ART*VR and coordinator of the Critics Academy film criticism workshop for the Locarno Film Festival. She occasionally writes for the Slovak slow film magazine Pontón. She graduated in Film Studies at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague, and is currently completing her MA in Gender Studies at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University.

DANIEL RIHÁK
(Slovakia)
He graduated in film directing at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. His master’s short film The Trip (2018) won the Best Director Award at the ÁČKO Student Film Festival, the IGRIC Creative Award and was shortlisted for the BAFTA Student Film Awards. He is currently working on his debut film My World Upside Down (Nikomu to nepoviem).
