Des Teufels Bad: One of the best horror films of the year awarded at the Berlinale waiting to be seen at Cinematik

The film Des Teufels Bad / The Devil’s Bath was inspired by the real superstitions and rituals of the time Austria, 18th century.

Villages somewhere deep in the forests. A woman is sentenced to death for killing a baby. Agnes marries her beloved, thoroughly and sincerely prepares for married life. Soon, however, her head and heart begin to grow heavy. Day by day, she is increasingly trapped on a dark and lonely path leading to evil thoughts. Perhaps not only to thoughts… Des Teufels Bad won the Silver Bear at the Berlinale for the excellent cinematography by Martin Gschlacht. We will be screening the film by the director duo Severin Fiala and Veronika Franz in the MEETING POINT EUROPE competition section.
