Every year the International Film Festival Cinematik brings a dynamically developing cultural event of Slovak and Central European significance. Its long-term strategy is a clear orientation towards young film viewers, with an emphasis on developing their „film literacy”.
Another long-term goal of the IFF Cinematik is to create an international platform for presentation and promotion of Slovak documentary cinema through a new competitive section named CINEMATIK.DOC, seminars, dicussion forums dealing with documentary film issues.
